Start with your child
Write down age, current year group, curriculum and language needs. Bring recent school reports if you choose to share them privately with your advisor.
Discuss learning support, interests and likely next study destination before judging a school by its name.
Compare the whole cost
Ask each school for its current fee schedule. Separate recurring tuition from application, assessment, enrolment, transport, meals and activities.
Record what is refundable, when payment is due and which fees may change. Do not compare tuition alone.
Make visits count
Ask how the school supports a child joining from another curriculum or language background.
Use the same questions at every visit: learning support, class placement, communication with parents and the admissions steps still to come.
Connect the shortlist to home
Test plausible school runs at the times your family would travel. Compare both parents’ routes and the transport options offered by the school.
Confirm places and requirements directly with each school before making dependent commitments. Admission remains the school’s decision.
